Sounds Like	Reviews Yowsah! the Ukulele noir in Shirley was fantastic....nice turnout and GREAT sound. Everyone sounded killer...but, ohmygod, I've never heard Uke Box perform live and Shelley's voice is SO FUCKING RICH it's like a lovely creme sauce! damn. ...They were so well rehearsed and professional you couldn't help but be impressed. Shelley's voice was like liquid honey. About The Uke Box

After the break up of the Zaagmolen Band in the spring of 2005* we, Marko van der Horst & Shelley Rickey, had a musical breakdown… (*our fiddle player impregnated a Fin…he has since immigrated to Helsinki. Musicians are fertile….it happens) …Until, on a whim we bought two ukuleles at Japies Accordeon Palace. Well, within a month we were on stage as 'The Uke Box'. Of coarse, it was quite, shall we say, experimental, in the beginning. But since this time we have developed quite an eccentric little act comprised of nostalgic tunes and off-beat theatrics. Besides Ukuleles we also use and abuse a Banjolele, a Child Prodigy Midget Accordion, a Washtub Bass and a Toy Piano. Our mission is to create the best damn show ever that fits into just one traveling trunk!

St. Polaroid	Jun 10 2009 8:13 PM Met je hoofd op een cd-hoes van GPZH winnaar St. Polaroid Singer/songwriter St. Polaroid heeft dit jaar met de Grote prijs van Zuid-Holland de 1e prijs en de publieksprijs in de wacht gesleept. Dit heeft hem zo blij gemaakt dat hij spontaan een aantal nieuwe liedjes heeft geschreven. Komende maanden duikt hij de studio in om een nieuwe EP op te nemen. Deze luistert naar de titel: “Most people are other people”. Uiteraard wordt er inmiddels alweer zorgvuldig aandacht besteed aan het artwork. En hierbij is jouw hulp is hard nodig! Heb jij altijd al een keer met je hoofd op een cd-hoes willen staan? Zodat je thuis kan zeggen; hé! kijk eens wat leuk.
