HATR Project es un proyecto musical solista creado por Juan De León (a.k.a. Copilot Escarcha) en Jalisco, México a finales de 2006. En paralelo a su participación como músico y compositor para el proyecto The Walruss, inició la composición de piezas cortas con el empleo de sintetizadores e instrumentos virtuales principalmente. El proyecto inició bajo un concepto de crear canciones que simularan los sentimientos o etapas de la vida humana haciendo analogías con los instrumentos y elementos de cada canción. Con la creación de las piezas Love y Sadness se inicia formalmente la carrera de HATR Project que constituiría un EP homónimo de 24 minutos de duración que se distribuye libremente por Internet en abril de 2007. Posteriormente Escarcha abandona el proyecto The Walruss y continúa trabajando sobre la segunda compilación de piezas para HATR Project, titulada Dreaming About Fairies And Demons, que fue presentada en Julio del mismo año. Tras un breve periodo de inactividad comienza la producción de Heartbeat Against The Reason, el primer álbum de producción independiente de HATR Project que viera la luz el 9 de enero de 2008.
HATR Project is a solo project created by Juan De Leon (a.k.a. Copilot Escarcha) in Jalisco, Mexico in 2006. Once working as composer and musician for The Walruss band, he started a new task as parallel into the creation of short instrumental pieces using primarily synthesizers and virtual instruments. The project started as a particular concept, trying to assume human feelings and life trials while making an analogy between instruments and other musical elements. By creating the songs Love and Sadness, the HATR Project career was launched with 24 minutes of melodies into a self-titled EP distributed over the Internet on April 2007. Then Escarcha left The Walruss project and continued working into his second soloist record for HATR Project called Dreaming About Fairies And Demons, which was presented over the web on July of the same year. After a brief period of inactivity started the production of Heartbeat Against The Reason, the first independent album of HATR Project which was released January 9th, 2008.
