Heavy Load are a punk band some of the band have learning disabilities some don't.
Heavy Load have been going for over 12 years and have become cult heroes on the disability arts scene.
They manage to survive through their raucous energy, attitude and sheer volume and have started to break out in to the mainstream with some triumphant and chaotic sets at this year's Wychwood Festival and the Brighton Festival. They also headlined 2007's Liberty Festival with a furious set in the middle of London's Trafalgar Square.
This year a movie about their unique world is released - with the world premiere at SXSW in Austin, Texas.
Heavy Load break all the rules because they don't know what the rules are.
Heavy Load have unwittingly rediscovered the true meaning of what punk is - punk is not about haircuts - badges - nose rings or snarls - punk is saying how you feel - ignoring the trendies and speaking the truth.
What the famous people say:
"I love what you do" - Kylie
"Heavy Load were great" - Jo Whiley
"A triumph of dissfunctionalness" - Wreckless Eric
"Pure danger" - Mat Fraser
