MY MOM. She was diagnosed with breast cancer on 3/3/08. She is a survivor of breast cancer and will continue to be for at least another fifty years, until I have to find a nice nursing home for her...in Antarctica.
About me: My name is Brittney. I love to learn. Directionally impaired. I strive for a paroxysm of selfhood.
Sometimes I eat my ice cream with Honey Bunches of Oats because it reminds me of fried ice cream...especially when the corn flakes get saturated with ice cream. I am a walking paradox. At any given time, it's likely that I simultaneously want two things that are polar opposites. One time I felt elated and depressed at the same time. My brain makes weird associations, and I often blurt them out without thinking. I play on words like they're a jungle gym. It strikes me as interesting how something you can invest so much in can be a shadow in your thoughts just a short time later. I spend too much time conversing with the ghosts of past and future. Sometimes I open my eyes and am overwhelmed with clarity. I wish I could maintain this state. I'm trying to read The Power of Now, but every time I try to face myself I get scared and run away.
Writing, for me, is an act of faith, a hope that I will discover what I mean by "truth." I also think of reading as an act of faith, a hope that I will discover something remarkable about ordinary life, about myself. And if the writer and the reader discover the same thing, if they have that connection, the act of faith has resulted in an act of magic. To me, that's the mystery and the wonder of both life and fiction - the connection between two individuals who discover in the end that they are more the same than they are different. - Amy Tan, "In the Canon, for All the Wrong Reasons"

To my dearest friend Brittney, Hello, Just wanted to tell everyone that I am so grateful to have life each day. It was difficult for me to decide who I thought would DO this because many people claim to pray, but not everyone does. I chose the twelve people to send this short prayer. Please send this back to me (You'll see why). May everyone who received this message be blessed. There are 12 months/ 12 disciples/ 12 tribes of Israel . There is nothing attached. Just send this to twelve others. Prayer is one of the best free gifts we receive. There is no cost, just a lot of reward. Make sure you pray, and pray believing God will answer.
May today be all you need it to be. May the peace of God and the freshness of the Holy Spirit rest in your thoughts, rule in your dreams tonight, and conquer all your fears. May God manifest himself today in ways you have never experienced. May your joys be fulfilled, your dreams be closer, and your prayers be answered. I pray that faith enters a new height for you; I pray that your territory is enlarged. I pray for peace, healing, health, happiness, prosperity, joy, true and undying love for God.
I thank God for our friendship...................With Love & Respect.............Sharlene
