Riding on the waves of their acclaimed live show & the stellar Plan Your
Escape EP, Hey Rosetta! surges forward with Into Your Lungs (And Around
In Your Heart And Through Your Blood).
Based in St. John’s, NL, the six-piece group is comprised of Tim Baker
(vocals/piano/guitar), Adam Hogan (guitar), Josh Ward (bass), Phil
Maloney (drums), Erin Aurich or Kinley Dowling (violin), and Romesh Thavanathan (cello).
Recorded in the dead of winter in two East Coast harbor towns with
producer and acclaimed singer-songwriter Hawksley Workman, Into Your
Lungs began with a beautiful naivety and confidence. An "off the stage"
feel and vigor that is reminiscent of the band's powerful live performances
rooted the recording sessions and everything was bred from and
expanded from there. Conceptually, the new record is a shift from Tim's
earlier compositions often written in isolation within his
bedroom, to a new depth and space that comes from experiencing life on
the road as a touring band. The new record packs more grit while allowing
the bands infectious energy and vulnerability to flow freely.
Seeded by Tim after returning home to St. John’s in 2005, Hey Rosetta!
quickly bloomed and grew from bars on George Street to showcases at
Junofest, ECMAs, CMW & NXNE, along the way winning four MusicNL
Awards and a couple ECMA nominations.

Sure wish you kids would come back to Ottawa soon. In the meantime I'll just think about how good you all looked on that giant stage at Bluesfest and be proud!
Joining the chorus in wishing you well deserved congrats on the Polaris prize shortlist. Just hoping they do the right thing! The video for There's an Arc is also heartbreakingly beautiful and deserves recognition. Hope to see you in Montreal sometime. Cheers, Domestic Crisis Group
