Hide Unas was formed in 2000. The name is adapted from norwegian author Sigurd Mathiesen..s debut novel (1903) and some of the early recordings are inspired by Mathiesen..s shortstories.
Debut album recorded by Hallstein Sandvin and Hans Mörk with contributions from Are Stifjell (engineering), Ingeborg Fredriksen (vocal), Lars Myrvoll (guitars) and Morten Olsen (vocal). Mastered by Tomas Ferngren. Artwork by Lena and Maria. Released on CD and vinyl august 20th 2004.
Working with dancer/coreographer Karin M. Andreasson fall 2003/spring 2004, led to producing music for dance, live performances and recording a 7" that have not been released.
Sic Transit and Monomania is part of the soundtrack to short film Emono by Morten Olsen and Gøran Hansen. You can watch it here:
Jørgen S. Larsen and Torbjørn Hafnor joined Hide Unas in 2005 for live-preformance at Bodø Hardcore Festival 8, and studio recordings.
Klubb Emergency Exit invited the band to play live and to contribute to the festival CD spring 2006. A studio-session resulted in Massenkarambolage. Lars Myrvoll joined on guitar and Endre Njøs did the live sound for the concert.
A compilation cassette EP with studio and live material was released september 2008.
Hide Unas are currently working on two new albums.
