Hiding Place may have bagged their slot on the Barfly Stage but this is a sound built for stadiums. Frontman Paul McCallion has perfected a Liam Gallagher-sans-attitude swagger and this band are ready to bring their thundering, post-Soundgarden spaced rock to the masses!
'It takes a great deal of bottle to invoke the spirit of Hunter S. Thompson, the scourge of all wannabe gonzo hacks everywhere. So Hiding Place, must have a good stash waiting to be collected from the off-licence.' (Manchester Evening News). East Kilbride was previously known as the home of Aztec Camera and The Jesus and Mary Chain, now Hiding Place are hoping to add their names to this short list of (in)famous sons on the Knowhere hall of fame. Taking their lead from the greats of British rock - Led Zepplin and Deep Purple have been mentioned as influences - Hiding Place are however neither poppy charters nor darkly intovert shoegazers. Their self-titled 4-track EP, with the tracks No Cure, Slave Trade, Fear And Loathing and At One Time Or Another has had good reviews - and having recently supported SOiL, Hiding Place also received some good feedback on their live shows, 'they were amazing! so much raw energy - they really impressed!'

ups and downs, Hidingplace have decided to part ways, thanks to everyone who ever came to a show, bought a shirt, bought us a drink, sang our songs, and gave a fuck about us, it was a great journey.....and you made it happen!
