The Hilltop Hightops were founded by Captain Ryan, Space Pirate Extraordinaire. When he decided to fly a banana around the galaxy, he realized he'd need a crew, and brought on Professor Doktor Von Science and the Professor's robotic creation, Drumbot.
Together they roamed the galaxy, getting into many misadventures. Along the way they rescued HorsePower from captivity, and were rewarded with his pledge to protect them from harm at all costs.
Finally, they found Mathstronaut, a NASA astronaut commissioned to bring the joy of math to the galaxy. He was found floating in deep space, his ship damaged beyond repair, and was happy to join up with the crew.
Together, the five decided to travel to Earth, where they're on a mission to save the planet from boring and bland children's music.
