HIX // Housed In eXile was formed back in early 2004 when there were 5 members in the band, 2 of which was taken from Creamson. The band started off as nothing serious at first but as the band progressed, they realized that playing at respectable gigs is not that impossible of a dream.
Unfortunately, in 2005, Shariman(former bassist) and Kamal(former drummer) decided to focus on their roles in Creamson therefore they had to leave HIX. Just when Izrin and Luq thought things could not get worst, Amirul; our lead guitarist had to exit the band due to his studies and University allocation in Perak. With just 2 members left, HIX's future at that time seemed nonexistent..
Until the arrival of Ejat and Azwan.
Ejat was introduced to Izrin at a party held by their friend Faiz(Ask Me Again). After a few jam sessions, Ejat was invited to join the band as their permanent drummer and he agreed. For a short while, Luq had taken the duty as a bassist/vocalist however the band agreed that he can't pull it off(Luq: seriously, I can't play for shits while singing or vice versa) and they needed a real bassist. The news of HIX looking for a bassist got to Azwan who was bandless at the time. Since Azwan posesses good skills in playing bass and songwriting and was also a familiar friend to both Luq and Izrin, he was added to the lineup in December 2005. On May 2008, Azman, Azwan's younger brother joined the band as the second guitarist. The latest addition to the band is our new drummer Chow Tatt Ho who is replacing Ejat.
We're still beginners at best but we promise to try our best to present you guys better songs and quality stuff as we all keep on learning and progressing. Do check up on this profile from time to time for any updates on the band.

Hello everyone! No, we're still alive and kicking and we have a special announcement for all of you today. We have finally found a new drummer and he goes by the name Hassan.
Well, not really. his name is Chow Tatt Ho! He's a mutual friend of ours and we hope we will make great strides along with Tatt Ho from now on! For the time being, the task for rhythm guitar will be handed to Luq or sessioned to one of our founding members; Amirul Asyraf. We hope that you guys haven't forgotten us and we promise to bring fresh new materials soon!
Here's the latest vid of us during the Escape The Flock gig playing our new song which is being called "Fragilo" for now. It was the last song of the set so we were all tiredd!.. Except for Izrin the lame guy. He gets to sit down all the way due to his ankle injury. Poor fiend. This gig was also Azman's debut as the new 2nd guitarist so do check it out!
THE EP IS OUT IN THE WILD! (24th February 2008)
FINALLY! We have released our long-awaited EP!! We kept it quiet until today in fear of jinxing the whole thing so now that it's out, we're f**king excited! The EP has 6 tracks, all newly recorded and mixed including a mellow-ed down piano version of the song Hauntings with vocals. We apologize for the delays and now that it's done, get one fast! You can listen to the full finalized songs on the Myspace music player and at AMP.
You can get the EP through the band members, at selected gigs or you can order it by mail and we'll send it to you anywhere in the world! Postage fee + EP price.
