Like a Four wheel Drive, Hogjaw, have taken the off-road into the music industry head-on. Blazing they’re own trail of rock & roll, Hogjaw, have brought back the sound of pure listening. Cranking tunes and bringing music back for the people that can be understood by all walks. With vocals telling stories, guitars blazing & drums thundering: Hogjaw’s debut record “Devil in the Details” is going to come at you like a freight train of sound!
Hailing from the desert land of Arizona – Hogjaw is bringing in the rock from the Southwest. The quartet includes; Jonboat Jones (vocals/guitar), Kreg Self (lead guitar), Elvis DD (Bass) & J. "Kwall" Kowalski (drums) deliver a dose of genuine rocking goodness.
Hogjaw was formed in late 2006 through the power of jamming…” when we realized what we had, it just snowballed.” Everyone in the band is standing friends from High School and with one common goal, rockin, it became easy for the music to develop. With years of playing in label bands, touring afar, and playing beat-up acoustic guitars in and around the hills, these guys find their talents on a way of their own. It is spoken through the songs…and with support from everyone surrounding Hogjaw….things couldn’t be better for the group!
The band has had the opportunity to spend most of 2008 & 09, traveling the regional states playing music from: Major events, to playing Clubs and Bars with acts like; Cowboy Mouth, Helmet, Valient Thorr to Railbenders, Gin Blossoms, Jimmy Van Zant, etc. The album “ Devil in the Details” was in the top sales for ‘08 &‘09 at CDBABY.com… they’re videos have been in the top 10 at “OurStage.com” and also the record has been picked up by many European & English distributers with turn around sales. Locally the group recently had their CD acknowledged as top 5 record of the year by “you asked for it” at the Phoenix New times… Also with a nomination in the hardrock category for the new times “summer of sound” concert series ‘09.
And just when you think the band is relaxing; think again! Hogjaw currently is in production with its 2nd studio record – doing what they love best, making music. The release titled “Ironwood” should be on the streets early 2010 in form of Itunes, CD & Vinyl. When the record comes out, Hogjaw will book it's first national tour: 2010 US TOUR (late Spring) and plans to support its release that has given them it’s claim. So, with the hopes the band continues to grow with its grass-roots fan base… Hogjaw will continue to make music and keep rockin in this free world!
My new record just came out this week on I-Tunes and CD Baby. I have included a video talking about the record, hope you enjoy it! Please leave us some feedback to let us know what you think! Thanks for your support.
