Currently one of the most talked-about acts on the London live circuit, Hooligan Night are a vixen-fronted juggernaut, combining outrageously addictive Electro-Punk beats with twisted, technicolour performance art spectacle.
Fronted by darling of the London performance scene, delinquent showgirl Ruby Blues, whose vocal stylings and towering stage-presence have been compared to the likes of Siouxie Sioux, Debbie Harry and Peaches.
The handiwork of production maestro Nik Diezel of LSDiezel – the musical branch of underground art icons the Mutoid Waste Co., with Alabama 3 keyboard player Orlando Harrison, Soho Dolls drummer Paul Stone and Carnival Of Souls guitarist Gus Robertson completing the formidable line-up.
With their white-hot live shows fast becoming legendary for seeing full-blown fist-fights breaking out on stage, giant pink guitars, keyboard players in full Drag regalia and impromptu striptease; in a scene awash with anaemic Indie boy bands, Hooligan Night are a gloriously red-blooded Rock n Roll act.
To date they have played shows in some of Europe’s most weird and wonderful events and venues, including amongst others, The Shunt Vaults, the Burning Man festival in the Nevada desert and a floating pirate ship in the Baltic sea. They are also the house band at Glastonbury festival’s Trash City, where they were featured in the NME in 2008 playing a live-set with a four-armed robot drummer.
