It all started on a dark and stormy night quite like this one. The year was 2000 bell-bottoms were in, man had just stepped foot on the moon, the Union had won the Civil War, and a band called Horrible Idea had begun to form. Two brave souls named Kevin and Sean decided to count their chickens before they were hatched and invest everything into a concept: Forming a band that played really good music. Music that encompassed all of their Influences. Ska songs that morphed into epic metal solos, punk songs that went into ska, and then into some kind of weird Dead Milkmen type stuff, and then back into punk. Whatever came to their minds.

After writing a lot of songs, they realized they weren't good enough yet to make their dream a reality. Sean went into seclusion in Djibouti Africa for six months, and practiced sweep arpegios on an old acoustic guitar. He returned with much more knowledge and the skill to make their dream a reality. Kevin had been going to bars and "hanging out" the entire time, so he remained about the same...

They both got out of the Marines, and moved to northern Georgia to set up base. A man named BJ became their bassist. Kevin recruited Chris from Middleport New York. They had gone to school together, and had been in a band (which consisted of AC/DC and Metallica covers... and two original tunes) called Kaos as young lads. Chris was the guitarist in Horrible Idea from early 2005 until May 2006, then a bunch of "silly shit" happened:

When the "silly shit" subsided, the band had reformed into a spectacular perfect triangle of rock solid rocking rock. Of course the triangle is a just a metaphor for the three corners of rock slingers that currently make up the meaty stew of Horrible Idea: Kevin, Sean, and Chris.
