The 80's Metal Houston based band 'Screamer' was started by Big AL (PETE) & Robert Ramirez. Rounding out the band was Woody Archer, Mike Sharp and Scott Larson.
Screamer competed in several battle of the bands in which they battled with the likes of Metal Blade recording artist Helstar.
In the mid 80's some line up changes were made. Willie Bennett was added on vox replacing Larson. Bennett would unfortunately later die in a car accident.
Once again, a change was made into what would be the final and strongest lineup. Joining the band would be Mike and Rob McCain. Together, they recorded Throw down at your own Risk and opened for recording artists such as Omen.
Screamer is no longer together and should not be confused with other bands using the name as in the New Renaissance Records artist by the same name.
