Husbands AKA combines elements of Jamaican ska and Reggae with American hardcore and punk rock. The band is characterized by walking basslines, scratch-like tempos, keyboard rhythms on the offbeat, hard work, good clean fun, and inebriated joy.
caught you guys the other night with reel big fish. enjoyed the set, the 'pressure drop' cover was solid. if you guys ever wanna book a show in connecticut let me know, i can get you one. and next year i'll be trying to get some bands up here to burlington, and if they work out i'll be getting in touch with ya, you're the first local VT band i've really come across that i've liked. i'm gonna work on bands like..darkbuster, the scars, street dogs, pinkerton thugs, agnostic front, flatfoot 56, reagan youth, etcetc as i've got contacts with all the bands.
Hey guys. Me and our bassist (Steve) were at the show last night. Mainly to see RBF, but you guys were an extremely pleasant surprise!
I was diggin' the tunes, totally, and tried to get some skanking/moshing going. (Though there were few participants, it was still a jolly ol' time.) Not to mention you covered Pressure Drop, which is, a mon avi, one of the greatest songs ever written.
But anyway, just wanted to say nice job.
We should totally play together sometime. Get in touch with us, okay?
hey we saw you and RBF tonight, you guys did great! i wish people had skanked more for you... that shit's dumb. anyway, we were too smashed up and assraped during RBF to come meet you guys, but you do a real good job and were pumped to play with you. i hope you had a great night. -nate
I'll think about it! I think I'm doing a tour in June or July, and Vermont is near MA and CT, which are states I will have help getting shows. Can you hook me up if I do stop in Vermont?
