Influences
Too many to list. If you like: Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Rage Against The Machine, Led Zeppelin, UFO, Megadeth, Tool, Riot and the like, stay tuned for our forthcoming release, JUDGMENT Coming Summer 2010
From their inception in 2004, Ashland, Kentucky based hard rockers HYDROGYN have been creating a buzz with their explosive brand of hypnotic grooves and riffs. Core members JULIE (the voice), and guitarist JEFF WESTLAKE have captured the attention of fans and critics alike with their modern-hard rock sound fronted by, quite simply, the best female vocalist on the music scene today.
Though they've been actively recording, touring & building a solid fan base over the past few years, HYDROGYN are quickly proving that 2010 will be their most prolific year thus far. New line up changes have media outlets worldwide touting the band as the newest "supergroup". This is due to the addition of guitarist JEFF YOUNG who brings his renowned shredding virtuosity as evident on the classic and fan favorite MEGADETH album "So Far, So Good… So What!" (Capitol Records, 1988). Bass monster JAMES LOMENZO (White Lion, Black Label Society, Ozzy) also joins the fold after his recent exit from MEGADETH, and New York-based kHz drummer JOE MIGZ rounds out the band with his groove laden drum beats. Together, they plan to take HYDROGYN on a full-on global assault in 2010.
HYDROGYN is currently locked away in an undisclosed location in the snowy hills of Kentucky on a songwriting sabbatical working on their new album, "Judgement", to be released Summer 2010. Offers are currently presenting themselves for major festivals in Europe and North America. Stay tuned...
“Hydrogyn is going to be big, very big!" - Michael Wagener, Producer (Ozzy Osbourne, Skid Row, Alice Cooper, Extreme)
