Poems, poetry, spoken word, musical dramatico, poetry with knuckles.
From AA Archives 96 Review of Racecourse Exit:
"The sound of a Hydropods piece is positively hypnotic, and the observations in the poetry are deadpan and enlightening. Completely without pretense, Hydropods succeed because sometimes simple life is much more entertaining than stretching and twisting reality. I just want to keep riding along."
Hydropods, recent winners of the 2009 American Marijuana Music Awards for Best Poetry (announced at the Chicago Peace Fest), are celebrating the release of their new album, Gorilla and Poems of Pretense. Dubbed, “Chroniclers of Side-show America” by The Oregonian, Hydropods use “spoken words with music played” to take your mind to places you normally wouldn’t let it go without an armed escort.
