ABOUT CHASING LIGHT
With musical backgrounds in rock, punk, hip-hop, jazz and hardcore, Chasing Light has developed a well-rounded style that is easily accessible to a wide audience. Perhaps this is why they have come so far is such a short amount of time.
Since their attendance record-breaking launch show in June, Chasing Light has played venues all over Sydney. Including; Oxford Art Factory, The Spectrum and The Embassy Hotel. They have recorded a TV performance for prime time Channel 9 (Battle Fronts) and have supported a touring international artist! (IvoryLine – USA)
As the name implies, Chasing Light operates with a strong social conscience. They are careful to source fair traded merchandise, write meaningful lyrics and are committed to giving a percentage of their sales to charity.
Chasing Light released their debut EP, single and music video at Luna Park in October 2008. The 5-track, self-titled release was recorded at Electric Sun Studios (Cog, Mission in Motion) and was mastered by Rick O’Neil at Turtle Rock Studios (Kylie Minogue, Silverchair, Aerosmith).
