Ian's Comedian Bio
|
| Bio | A popular act througout the 90's. Have the record of 106 consecutive weeks touring on the road. Switched to screenwriting a few years ago. Wrote a book entitled "God is a Woman: Dating Disasters" which is basically a standup routine about the funny dating and sex stories I experienced touring across North America from ages 18-30. The stories were too long for stage, so I put 'em in a book. I also added advice about what I learned from each story; advice which made me very successful with dating and sex, and which I wish someone had given me back when I was in college! | | Website | godisawoman.net and iancoburn.com | | Influences | Anthony Griffith was my only influence. I saw him on TV for 5 minutes when I was 15 and knew I wanted to try out standup. Did when I was 18 and never looked back.
Dan Flatly gave me great advice when I started doing open mics and I dedicated "God is Woman: Dating Disasters" in his memory. | | Members | I don't even know what this slot is for. | | TV Shows | Seven, including acting gigs for Chicago Hope and Early Edition. |

About me:
After touring across North America as a standup comedian from '90 til the early 2000's, I finally got off the road and did something I always wanted to do... I wrote a book telling the funny stories of my various disasters with women and sex while traveling around. I also offer advice about what I learned which made me successful with women and dating. It's for both sexes and I wish someone had given something like it to me back in college or even high school (where I was voted "sweetest guy" in my class; you might as well not have a penis with that labe!). It's called "God is a Woman: Dating Disasters" and it hit 1 on Amazon in Canada in humor, 8 on Amazon in Europe. Who knows what it will hit next? Stick around, check out the book (the cover of which is, yes, my real fridge) and comedy clips. You can find a bunch of excerpted stories from the book at www.godisawoman.net, as well as a bunch of other things. That quote "tomorrow is today's backup plan" is out of my book and I'm starting to see it quoted around the web; have to admit, that's pretty cool and flattering to see. Thanx for quoting it!
