The Beatles, Brian Wilson, Frank Zappa, Elliott Smith, Belle And Sebastian, Lilys, Fantomas, Yes, and a few thousand other unknown singers and songwriters!
Sounds Like
Sounds like... a fine excuse to listen to something special???
The Ian Tanner Podcast Nightmare features "intelligent," melodic Power-Pop for anyone who feels disenfranchised from today's so-called "pop" music scene! Showcasing the unsigned songs of Ian Tanner, (disposable yet indespensible!),the podcast also features fun extras such as Ian's intentionally bad versions of classic rock songs! It's entertaining, with pretty decent production values, and will be enjoyed by all who like "intelligent" music and a little bit of fun too! (Hey... It's optional entertainment at best. Who am I kidding?!!)
Fans of The Beatles, Belle And Sebastian, Elliott Smith, Ben Folds and Frank Zappa (!) will enjoy the off-beat melodicism of Ian Tanner's music.
All songs written, arranged, performed, endorsed, and catered by Ian Tanner!

Hi Ian - I can't believe you snorted into the mic the other night. That was great! Congrats on you & Shelley doing marriage related stuff; way to go. I really enjoyed everything on the Giselle & 4 friends show. I'll get you a copy of my CD when I get them duplicated - a couple more weeks. I loved your songs and the comedy - OY!, I made with the laughing. Have a great big beautiful wonderful incredible super-spectacular day.
Hi Ian!

Nice to meet you again!LOL!

Ian,
You're wickedly funny even when you're soaking yourself in your tears in your 1st song of Podcast 17! Humorous stuff there, Mr. Tanner, with some clssic nuggets of cartoonish intervals of hilarity! You're brilliant in an odd, freakish :) sort of way :)! Not only is this episode incredibly entertaining but also contains educational segments about harmony...wow...I bow at your uniqueness and very hypnotic way of entertaining us folks! Lovin your stuff and currently in stitches!
Looking forward to seeing you this summer!
...like a rush of polka to the head. Loved it. Also, I haven't met one quality musician who can listen to 'Misplaced...' all the way through - it's like you've helped define a new genre: beautiful music that hurts (good for any allied invasion). Hope to see you out on the playing field some time soon; you bring the handsonic, I'll bring the accordian. Thanks, my friend, keep up the weird work.
Thank you mucho for taking the time to fill out my survey!
Your response was one of the most insightful I gathered and reminded me that there have been predecessors to that particular phrase that have been even more hurtful--even if not quite as debated over in terms of "political correctness."
It really was nice of you to take the time to give such a personal response. I really appreciated it.
Hope that all is well with you! Have a great night!
Hey Bud...Yesterday was a blast! A day of songwriting, eating, and topped off with poker and beer! Does it get any better than that? Oh wait...700 Club just came on the TV in my room...yay!!
