IBK Tribe - ein Name der seit mehr als einem Jahrzehnt für Reggae und Rap aus Österreich steht. In einer Zeit in der einfach gestrickte Texte und herzlose Beats die Charts regieren halten die drei Tiroler die Fahne für ehrliche Musik mit einer gesunden Mischung aus Message und Party hoch!
Gegründet 1997 in Innsbruck und mittlerweile nach Wien übersiedelt, bieten Sensay, Jamin und Truman dem Zuhörer Produktionen die voller Leidenschaft, Knowledge und nicht zuletzt einer gehörigen Portion Tiroler Humor sind. Auf Patois oder Inntaler Dialekt gerappte Strophen wechseln sich ab mit gesungenen, englischsprachigen Hooks und lassen so ein Soundbild entstehen das sich jeder Schubladisierung gekonnt entzieht. Ob nachdenkliche Roots-Reggae-Songs, kraftvolle Dancehall-Big-Tunes oder Rap-Tracks die eine Gradwanderung zwischen Representer-Arroganz und humorvoller Abhandlung alltäglicher Themen bereithalten. IBK Tribe steht wie kaum eine andere Crew für Authentizität und Liebe zur Musik.
Für aufmerksame FM4-Hörer sind IBK Tribe ebenfalls kein unbeschriebenes Blatt mehr, sind doch in den letzten Jahren einige Tunes der Wahl-Wiener auf Heavy Rotation bei Österreichs Szene-Radiosender gewesen. Weiters blicken Jamin, Sensay und Truman auf eine lange Historie an Compilation-Beiträgen zurück. An die 20 Songs wurden bereits lizensiert bzw. exklusiv produziert für diverse Alben und Sampler.
Dass Musik live immer noch am Besten klingt, kann jeder bestätigen der schon mal eine IBK Tribe-Show erleben durfte. Ein Jahrzehnt IBK Tribe brachte hunderte Live-Shows mit sich und damit natürlich auch ein Unmenge an Bühnenerfahrung. An der Seite illustrer Künstler wie z.B. Seeed, Delinquent Habits oder Eek-a-Mouse zeigten die Jungs europaweit der Massive schon aus welchem Holz Tiroler geschnitzt sind. Dass manch Headliner bei einer solchen Bühnenpräsenz schon mal Sorgen hatte, ob er den Energielevel so hoch halten kann sei nur nebenbei erwähnt?
Was hält die Zukunft für die drei Tirola wohl bereit? Dass der Output zur Zeit so hoch ist wie noch nie steht fest. An Alben wird gearbeitet, Dubplates gevoicet und Live-Shows Wochenende für Wochenende bestritten, und alles "for the love of the game". Es ist ein harter Job, aber irgendjemand muss ihn ja machen. In diesem Sinne: IBK Tribe from 97 til infinity and beyond!

YES! I do too, but I can't breathe, I can't sleep and my head is throbbing....I went to the Pharmacy last night and she hooked me up, so I hope with these meds I can get to feeling better.
