Time Out New York
"Icebird's Magnitude might be the best indie-rock album out of LA all year."
Flavorpill LA
"LA rawk warriors Icebird fly their punked-up Led Zeppelin into the face of oblivion."
LA Alternative
"Icebird is a Koreatown trio (Barry Monahan on guitar/vocals, Kate Wise on drums and Mike Monahan on bass) that unflinchingly pays tribute to real rock bands like Mission of Burma, the Wipers, and Jesus Lizard without sounding retro."
Prefix Magazine
"Magnitude is a raw, ferocious debut."
Alternative Malta
"One gets the feeling that the band is one big sparking ball of energy
ready to torch the world, screaming (and yes the vocalist screams) its way through."
Terrascope UK
"the whole album crackling with noise; a non stop avalanche of bass heavy riffs, chaotic guitar and powerful drumming, that rattles around your brain in joyous abandon."
Impact Press
"Icebird are among the new wave of young groups who draw their influences from a time when people were more willing to say what they mean and just plain rock out."

Hey, I actually met Robert Plant and Jimmy Page on a dirt road in mississippy while playing blues on my vintage strat that i bought at Gruhn Guitars in Nashville. They were cruisin' and looking for some old blues heroes that used to live there and asked me for directions and that's how I got to talk to them.I'm not the nervous type but I have to admit I got a bit nervous by actually meeting half of Led Zep .I hope they will do the reunion world tour and hope tickets will be affordable for ordinairy musicians like me.Anyway the new song (hello astronaut)we are adding is highly influenced by Led Zep ! We (16down) also like big drums and classical orchestra combined with a dirty electric guitar.....and as mr Plant said to me "see you around"............................yeah right, cheers Marco aka M16
