Sounds of harsh scumness out of guitars, repetitive, out of sync loops; sound as a fucking mechanism. But don't take my word for it:
"One of the best opening bands we have ever had" -- Lee Ranaldo, Sonic Youth.
"I didn't mention the opening act before, because truth be told, they were a big mountain of horse shit. And believe me, they do not deserve an inch of attention and/or respect. Horrible sounds, arrogant pricks, boring as hell. They can die and rot in hell for all I care. Worst shit i..ve ever seen...you wouldn't like to listen to that crap. Honest." -- Twat who saw I/C/O/C open for Sonic Youth.
"... playing a mixture of Harsh Noise/Drone...They were a good proposal to me, although they weren't well received, mainly because most people in attendance thinks Sonic Youth is grunge and, therefore, an overrated grunge band should open for them." -- Another guy present at the SY show.
"Well, in my opinion the opener band were pretty cool, in the place where i was that day people start talking shit about them, like "that's music, c'mon" but you can judge what's music for them, all those assholes wearing nirvana shirts and craps like that. I hope you have the opportunity to play one day again and show what you got because the audience was full of pricks and "mr.know-it-all's". But man, those things happen when you're the opener of such a huge band, don't give up" -- Someone else on the SY audience.
"At 9 o'clock sharp, two guys went onstage to execute some healthy noise, of the exagerated feedback, of the non-existent melodic structures. Noisism, that they call it. They didn't get five minutes when the crowd was already booing them. It's not that they were bad, it's just that the audience were desperate to see Sonic Youth. It was notorious that the duo exited before finishing their set. They didn't even said their name." -- La Jornada newspaper, demonstrating they know shit about noise.
"Marcos Hassan lives in Mexico City and practices a style with percussive elements, but these do not dominate his compositions. His project possesses, then, a very particular style" -- Jorge Castro, Cornucopia.
"RHYTHMIC GLITCHING OF HARSH DISTORTED CANCER WAVES. YOU NEED CHEMOTHERAPY TO WASH AWAY THE FILTH AND DISEASE INFECTING EARS. LUCKILY DRUMS COME IN AND BRING HUMAN FEEL TO VIRUS INFECTED COMPUTER CRASH. TROUBLE POUND TO DISCORDANT DISTORT MESS GIVES WAY TO RAZOR THIN GUITAR SHARDS. HYPNOTIC CRESCENDO BURSTS OF UNCONTROLLED WAVES OF BUILDINGS BEING BUILT, EXPLODED, AND DISINTEGRATING OVER AND OVER AND OVER THE COURSE OF NUCLEAR WARHEADS DESTROYING THE ENTIRE CITY ONLY TO HAVE IT BUILT UP AGAIN BY SUN WORSHIP AND TRIBAL ECSTACY DANCE. GREAT! ... THICK, DENSE DRONING PULSATING DISTORTO-WALLS GIVE WAY TO BAT SHRIEK FEEDBACK CALLS. CREATES A RHYTHMIC SOUND OF CHAOS COLLAPSE. EVENTUALLY A MILLION TELEPHONES OF FEEDBACK SYMPHONIES RING. HARSH NOISE OUT OF CONTROL SCREECHING COCAINE HABIT FUCK...creates a thick wall. my ears love it." -- Adam Cooley, Scissor Shock/Robe.
"it's strange because it's harsh, noisy but not in a "repellent" kind of way, the tracks suck you in, and you listen from start to finish almost with your neurons dancing. The first track is like a train travel, but with you tied UNDER the train... leaves a station, gains velocity and ends "cassandra's crossing style"... The second one, call me stupid, to me seems like a more calm and meditative thing, it's you "oooohmming" on a pavement of noise and then you discover the meaning of life and phone God to tell him/her about it and the world ends. Whou, quite "epic", huh?" -- Nic
"harsh noise project blowing fecal fragmented shopping carts all over wal mart parking lots. i wasnt completely "blown away" by this (these?) dude(s), but there is certainly an interesting vibe going on at times. i recomend giving p87rw33l a listen... sounds something similar to sounds id imagine going through the heads of new born infants being born in a prison riot freak-out." -- s. cenquoakt.com
