if_then_else started out as a home recording project between two college friends. Combining glitchy drum programming and electronically minded production with songs we were writing at the time, our album is an eclectic collection of rock, pop, and IDM.
I have your album. I can honestly say after a great deal of listening it is my favorite album of 2006 (even though it was written earlier). When are we going to get to hear a new album... and better yet when are you going to come to Minneapolis?
If you feel let down. remind yourself music isnt to please everyone.. ;)
If your bored, Check out the album sometime.. sound like a plan? then you can critique till your little heart is happy... you cant look at a piece of the photo and tell what it is without looking at the whole photo.
This is really one of my favorite albums. It always finds its way back into rotation, and everyone I play it for has fallen for it too.
I must say. The only reason I even ran into this music is because I was at Party In The Park 2004 and said to my friend "Look, that band has a microkorg just like the one I bought a week ago. I wanna see what they do with it." The rest was just enjoying a great concert and wondering if I would ever hear that music again (since this was before the CD).
Plus you guys gave me some advice about how to get nice glitchy noises out of my microkorg. Thats always nice.
