About IMAF

Independent Music + Art Festival is a day long outdoor festival featuring local musicians, visual artists, and other "independents". This annual event honors local musicians and artists who perform original live music and create original work. It provides a unique opportunity for interaction with other locals artists and the community. IMAF is a FREE festival on the second Saturday of June, beginning at 11:00am and runs until 10:00pm. Bands are featured on two stages in the exterior courtyard of the Harrison Center in conjunction with visual art displays. Beer and food are also served.

This year IMAF will be held in conjunction with the summer show of the INDIEana Handicraft Exchange - www.indieanahandicraftexchange.com, a D.I.Y. contemporary craft fair featuring handmade goods ranging from plush toys to bath and body products, from screenprinted rock 'n' roll poster art to custom vintage-inspired western wear, from fanciful undergarments to wooden jewelry. While festivities for the IMAF run outdoors, the Handicraft Exchange vendors will be selling their wares throughout the Harrison Center, in the gymnasium, Gallery No. 2 and The Underground. The Handicraft Exchange is the first and only of its kind in Indianapolis

IMAF 2008 was a huge success attracting around 5000 attendees throughout the course of the day! A big thank you to all our musicians, artists, vendors, and volunteers who helped create this memorable event. The following was the band line-up for IMAF 2008.

The Wade Burleson Band	Apr 30 2009 2:24 PM The Wade Burelson Band will be the first show at the Midwest Media Center(2250 Concord Rd., Lafayette 765.269.7525) actuallythrown by the MWMC. Wade and the boys will be performing in celebration of their new album "Drive" We will be filming for their new video and Nate will be doing a live recording of the performance. There is a lot going on. Please, come on out and celebrate with us. Cox's Pub will be set up and serving drinks. Everyone must be 21. We look forward to seeing you there.
