Inborn Suffering is mainly a melting pot of individuals coming from different Metal's horizons.
In Autumn 2002 Thomas Rugolino and Emmanuel Ribeiro got in contact with Stephane Peudupin (Ningizzia/Lethian dreams...) and Nicolas Favard(ex Despond) with the project of forming a doom/dark band.
But during the first Jam Sessions there were strong divergences in what would be the musical orientation of the band as wanted by Nicolas F. They decided not to go on, but later on some kind of musical feeling existed between Stef, Manu and Thomas so they decided to continue playing together; the first tracks (partially abandoned now) of current Inborn Suffering saw the day.
Later on, the three decided to complete the line up, they recruited one guitarist and keyboard player. So during the first months of 2003, Loic Couretete, active musician in French "underground" pagan BM scene (prominent member of Heol Telwen, Nydvind, Bran Barr ...) joined as guitarist and Sebastien Pierre who had several BM/Doom projects (Fogzard/Lethian Dreams...) joined as keyboard player. Both of them having a great passion for doom metal and showing extreme motivation in this project.
Inborn Suffering was born from this gathering of musicians influenced by major bands but with a personal touch creating Inborn Suffering's identity.
The band later on had to face various problems as unstability with violin players , problemes with the vocals, job etc etc...
During spring 2004, the guys decided that a dedicated singer was needed (Loic was supposed to do the vocals before that time), and Frederic Simon (singer of Drowning) who was greatly motivated by the band's music and perspectives joined as full time singer. He was part of a doom metal formation before and obviously had great passion for this.
Inborn Suffering then released its first demo "demo 2005" recorded at Steph's place. The demo received much attention in the doom scene and started to give popularity to the band. They started from this moment to be one of the major acts in the french doom scene, along with Ataraxie, lethian dreams and Ningizzia.
They then had very interesting concert opportunities in 2005, they played with Ataraxie, Swallow the sun, Before the dawn, Mourning Beloveth, Mar de Grises, Saturnus... in France, Belgium and Holland.
Inborn Suffering today finished the recording and mix (at the Hybreed studio with Andrew Guillotin) of their first album entitled "Wordless Hope" over 65 mn of original crushing dark doom.
The album is released since 13 october 2006 at Sound Riot Records. Portuguese label which deals with extreme melodic music http://www.soundriotrecords.com
Later on, due to personal reasons, Frederic Simon and Inborn Suffering decided to seperate. Loic Courtete then due to some problems linked to his availability decided to stop the adventure with Inborn Suffering.
The band then decided to recruit a new guitarist and new singer. After a casting, Laurent from Mourning Dawn was recruited as our lead singer. His personality and his love for doom fitted the spirit of Inborn Suffering. As for our new guitarist, Emmanuel (ex theoria) was chosen. He was supposed to be our session guitarist, but he proved to be a doom fanatic and a extremely motivated guitarist. We have decided now to stop the cooperation with Manu due to personal reasons
After having played at the Dutch Doom Day V, they are now focusing on composing new songs for their upcoming 2nd Cd which seems very promissing. The new tracks we played at gigs received positive feedback.
Inborn Suffering has also various session members such as flute player, violin player etc..
News from 6/04/09 :Due to a lot of changes in his life, Manu (bass) can't invest himself anymore within Inborn Suffering (lack of motivation, time and comitment), the band and Manu have mutually agreed to stop Manu's role as a bass player. We wish him all the best in his new life. A new bass player has been found : Remi D. Remi is a doom fanatic and will be bringing creative touches to Inborn Suffering's music. Welcome aboard Remi !
