Indephums was formed last June 2005 starting with alternative and heavy rock cover songs.
Later that same year in August, they’ve decided to do original Bisaya and English music with their original vocalist and bassist, but later replaced by the current front man Ray around November 2005 for some reasons. May 2006, the current bassist Amuel (metal instinct, avintra and former drummer of mindfool) punches in to replace the original bassist because he wants to pursue his busy life and his studies. On that same month and year, they’ve decided to switch genre into progressive metal and recorded the first ever metal demo song (Seek) since Amuel was also into metal. Their influences are both local & international metal acts way back up to now.
As years pass by, the band continued to create songs which is more technical and off beat tunes in order to come up with a unique yet crazy sound. Still moving and still growing for the music, by metal music.
THE NAME:
The name of the band was derived from the words “indep” which means independent, and “hum” meaning human. Then they added “s” at the end of the combined words because they are composed of four independent humans and in short INDEPHUMS though sometimes it is often mistaken (as indiephums, indiphons, indepams and more) at some posters or what so ever.

MAN I couldn't believe that either... I also couldn't stop laughing long enough to remember what I wanted to tell you... then I wanted to call you back to tell you all about the rice cakes I was eating. LOVELY.
