La andadura de Infektor comienza en Gran Canaria en 1989. Los primeros integrantes del grupo fueron Marcos a la guitarra y voz, Pablo a la bateria y Tono al bajo. Comenzaron a dar algun concierto y pronto grabaron su primera demo Only dead, que fue distribuida por la isla.
Un tiempo mas tarde incorporan a Luis como segundo guitarrista, siguen dando conciertos y graban su segunda maqueta Worm Epidemic, que es distribuida por todo el estado, apareciendo en diversos fanzines y revistas. El estilo del grupo era un Thrash metal influenciado por grupos como Kreator, Sodom etc.
Con la muerte de Pablo la banda se disuelve temporalmente, vuelven al cabo de un tiempo pero la cosa no funciona, quedandose Tono como unico miembro original. Este comienza a buscar a nuevos componentes y la siguiente formacion estable fue la de Tono al bajo y la voz, Jesus y Eusebio a las guitarras y Javier a la bateria. Comienzan de nuevo dando tocadas, siendo la mas importante el INVA 92, compartiendo cartel con grupos como Garrote Vil y Malformaciones Kongenitas.
Unos anos mas tarde sale Javier del grupo y con el nuevo bateria(Carlos) y un vocalista (Jorge) logran grabar un tema (Marked by death) para un recopilatorio, pero al poco tiempo abandonan Carlos y Eusebio, siendo sustituidos por Guillermo (guitarra) y Doramas (bateria).
A finales del 97 Doramas es sustituido por Pedro y 1 ano mas tarde se graba una demo de 4 temas en cd que es distribuida por el estado apareciendo en varias revistas nacionales (Heavy Rock 192, Guitarra total 26 y Metal Hammer 140). Pero los cambios continuaron. Primero lo deja Tono, que es sustituido por Gustavo, y mas tarde Guillermo, por el que entra Paco.
La siguiente formacion estable data del verano del 2000 y es la siguiente: Jesus y Paco (guitarras), Pedro (bateria), Gustavo (bajo), Jorge (voz), Victor (percusion y coros) y Luis (flauta travesera, percusion y coros), formacion que realiza varias tocadas y grabaron a finales de 2001 un cd de 8 cortes titulado Ahuar Maiek (Madre tierra en el idioma de los antiguos pobladores canarios). Fue autoeditado y aparecieron criticas positivas en la pagina web www.canariasoculto.com, el numero 10 del fanzine Bloody zine de Galicia (informacion sobre el grupo tambien en su web www.bloodyzine.cjb.net) , , revista Black Light nº 16 y revista Kerrang nº 106. Tambien aparecio en la Metal Hammer nº 176 y en el magazine Era del Metal nº 12.
Tras la edicion del cd Luis abandona el grupo, siendo sustituido por Lupe. El estilo actual del grupo engloba influencias del Thrash, Death y Heavy metal ademas de la aportacion de las percusiones y la flauta, que hacen tener al grupo un sonido bastante personal. Tambien es de destacar que las letras son cantadas en castellano y tratan de tematica social y sentimientos personales.
En la actualidad el grupo tiene grabados nuevos temas de cara a una proxima edicion de los mismos. El guitarra Paco ha abandonado y ha sido sustituido por Rayco.

Biography:
The history of Infektor begun in 1989 with Marcos (guitar and vocals), Tono (Bass) and Pablo (drums). First they released a demo called Only dead, then recruited Luis (guitar) and recorded a new demo Worm epidemic. The style of the band was Thrash Metal influenced by bands as Kreator and Sodom.
When Pablo died, and after some time with different drummers, all but Tono decided to quit the band. With new members: Jesus and Eusebio (guitars) and Javier (Drums) and being Tono de singer they begin to play live again, being the most important gig the festival INVA '92 with bands such as Garrote Vil and Malformaciones Kongenitas.
After a few years Javier is replaced by Carlos and a new singer enters (Jorge). They recorded a song Marked by death for a local compilation, but soon after Eusebio and Carlos left the band, entering Guillermo and Doramas.
At the end of 1997, Pedro takes the drums and soon they record a 4 track demo which appears in some national magazines (Heavy-Rock, Guitarra Total and Metal Hammer Spain). But changes continue. Tono is replaced by Gustavo and Guillermo is so by Paco.
In the year 200o the line up is: Jesus and Paco (guitars), Gustavo (bass), Pedro (drums), Jorge (vocals), Luis (flute) and Victor (percussion). They perform live several times and at the end of 2001 record a 8 track cd titled Ahuar Maiek (mother earth in the canarian native language). It was self produced an some good reviews appeared in different magazines and webzines (www.canariasoculto.com, Bloody zine, Metal Hammer Spain, Kerrang Spain, Black Light magazine and Era del Metal zine).
Soon after Luis is replaced by Lupe. The style of the band is a mix of Thrash, Death and Heavy metal, with the addition of percussion and flute, which makes the band sound with a personal style. Lyrics are in Spanish and verse about social and personal concerns.
Now the band is due to release a new cd called Falsa realidad (False reality) in the next months. Paco has left the band, being the new guitarrist Rayco.
