Live sets are based around the use of Ableton Live, midi controllers/synthesisers, live remixing, and occasionally the use of Nintendo Gameboys running Nanoloop V. 1.5, and sometimes I'll play live guitar myself, or have other musicians playing guitar/drums/violin/singing over my set, all of which will be discussed with promoters in order to ensure the setup on the night is organised and problem free.
DJ Sets are genre dependant, the majority of what I DJ (acid techno, dubstep, breakbeat, drum n bass) is done through use of two turntables and a stack of vinyl, however due to the lack of vinyl for other genres, (such as psytrance, breakcore, industrial/EBM) and occasionally the lack of turntables at venues, other sets will be played digitally with my laptop and sometimes a midi controller, depending on the technicality of my set.
As far as advertising my shows goes in the above "upcoming shows" feature, all shows are live, unless advertised otherwise, usually by brackets, E.G - "[DJ SET]" or something. Thanks.
