In 2004 Gavin Rossdale acquired Helmet frontman Page Hamilton to produce his first full length LP after Bush. Gavin recruited Chris Traynor (Helmet, Orange 9mm), Cache Tolman (Rival Schools, Civ, Iceburn) and Charlie Walker (Chamberlain, Spilt Lip) to form Institute. Traynor also helped out on the last Bush tour in place the of departured Nigel Pulsford. Gavin also had contributing artists on the new album such as Page Hamilton (guitar) and wife Gwen Stefani (vocals on "Ambulances"). With this band Gavin intends to bring a much more muscular and heavier rock sound. Welcome to the beginning of Institute. (thanks: bushinstitute.net)
Gavin---You rocked in Milwaukee as a solo artist! You and your bandmates are so passionate and that's what I love so much! It was great hanging out with you and the guys backstage! You are all such gentlemen! Tell my drummer boy that I'll be his nurse again anytime! Enjoy the rest of your tour and I hope you come around again soon! MUAH!
now that gavin's done the solo thing.... which is wonderful! we need more INSTITUTE!!! but i'll take anything that mr. rossdale does...........without question
You guys are amazing, why the hell did you break up? I was absolutely blown away by Bullet Prook Skin. I hope the Gavin solo stuff meets up to Institute standards, but i doubt it.
Gav, I learned how to play guitar listening to your music. I wish you gwen and Kingston (and the new baby on the way) Nothing but peace and happiness for the rest of yer days!
I am unable to download "God Gave Us Land" and "Art of Walking"! I've tried a few times the past few months and the site still won't let me! Help me out, those songs are hella bad ass! I need them in my ride!
