imp are independent promoters bringing quality underground and eclectic music to venues in and around Aberdeen. We promote sometimes exclusive Scottish shows and artists who usually only come as far North as Glasgow / Edinburgh, whilst at the same time showcasing the more interesting and leftfield musicians lurking around the depths of the local scene.
Interesting Music began regularly promoting shows in October 2003, after being involved with The Lemon Tree under the Unknown Pleasures banner. The venues we normally use include The Tunnels, Peacock Visual Arts, The Lemon Tree, The Blue Lamp, Snafu and Woodend Barn.
We put gigs on because, well, we love live music, and also because there are many interesting things other people are not putting on. We only promote artists we really want to see and hear ourselves, so check out our previous and get in touch, preferably via the email link below, if you think you fit in with our ethos. At the same time, please don't be too upset if we don't respond to every single request - we get a lot of people looking for gigs and just don't have the time to help everyone out.

If anybody asks you who I am Just stand up tall Look 'em in the face and say
I'm that star up in the sky I'm that mountain peak up high Hey, I made it I'm the world's greatest And I'm that little bit of hope When my back's against the ropes I can feel it I'm the world's greatest
