'InWake' is a hard hitting 3 piece heavy metal band (that sound like a 5 piece having their heads blown apart) based in Southend on Sea, Essex.
Starting out as a jamming project called 'Gut Rot' with Soroush Majd on guitar, Rob Dell on Drums and Peter Luke on vocals. The song Wage Slave was quickly born from the random noise and things were looking up... but after while things, as so often is the case, slowed down and eventually came to a grinding halt.
A few years later Pete L and Rob Dell got back together for a few jams and invited Rob's brother Simon to take over on drums while Rob took on a new challenge with the vocals and, for a complete turn around, Pete L changed to guitar. Si’s Drumming bought a hole new dimension to the band and the song Blunt Force Trauma was hatched.
The next addition to the band was Pete (Honest Pete) P on bass and it was thought that the lineup would stick, but before too long Rob decided he no longer had time to devote to the band and the three were soon looking for a new singer. Pete L and Pete P took up vocal duties between them until a perminent frontman could be found, but in the end the guys decided to stick it out as a three peice... largely due to their general hatred of evryone else...
With the lineup finalised (at last!) and Pete P bringing a new sense of structure to the band everything pulled together. Pete L is now the main driving force and songwriter within the band, Si provides invaluable beats and support, while Pete P overcomplicates song orders...
