PROMO 2007

BIOGRAPHY
In 1997, Giuseppe “Rex” Caruso (guitars and vocals), Alex Caruso (guitars) and Mattia Sciutti (drums) had create IRA project. After two years of settlement, due to no certain presence of the bass player, they started up recording their first demo, called Urna (2000), with good quotes by several local fanzines and warm feedback by the audience.
The band took part also to two editions of Perpetual Moonshine (a local festival with huge, metal names as Vision Divine, Node and Novembre). In the meanwhile IRA composed some new original stuff, turning their thrash metal of the beginning into a death metal mixing the European school to that US one.
In 2004 the band issued their second demo, Chaotic Regression, and took part to a great number of gigs most of all in the North of Italy, as, for ex, Titans of thrash with thrash metal legend Carnal Forge.
In the first 2005, the band passed through a crisis and they turned into a standby period.
Thanks to their strength and self conviction, Rex and Mattia decided to refresh the band with a new line up, with Marco Frigatti at bass guitar and Silvano Bianchi as second guitar (in the month of May, 2005).
In very few time Ira came back on stage. On Oct 9th 2005 Ira played with Italian and German metal gods at Black in mind Fest, for the very first time with the new line up. Their performance showed a new, refresh impact on the people, collecting great reviews on zines, that wrote about Ira as the Italian Death, compared the band to the immortal creature of the father of Death metal, Chuck Schuldiner.
Indeed, due to preparing the upcoming Dawn of world redemption, issued in December 2006, the band played few shows on that period, mustering up their attention mostly on the new release. Dawn of world redemption collected a huge number of great reviews on well known zines like Rock Sound, Grind zone, Metal Shock, Metal Hammer, Rock Hard, giving the band the opportunity of having some interviews on local radio and webzine. Unluckily, in March 2008 for personal problems Marco had to leave the band, and his place was taken from Euro Remigini as new bass player. IRA have received some good proposal by several labels, but they aren’t still engaged with anyone. Actually the band is mustering up some new stuff for their upcoming first full length, due to sign a deal with any label that will focus on produce and distribute them, not forgetting their live activity both in Italy as in Europe.
