The Story of Iron Sky
Towards the end of WWII, researchers working for Obergruppenführer Hans Kammler of the SS made a significant breakthrough in anti-gravity research.
From their secret base in the Antarctic, the first Nazi spaceships were launched in late ’45 to build a base on the dark side of the Moon. Their purpose; to re-build the military might of the Third Reich and return to conquer the Earth!
In the year 2018 the Nazis are about to return – but the nations of the world have problems of their own. Frustrated, people of all nations hunger for anything new, shocking, strange or surprising. And they’re going to get it – more so than they’ve ever hoped!
And they are going to love it!
A Sci-fi comedy from the makers of Star Wreck
In 2005 we released Star Wreck, after working on it for 7 years. It was the first feature length film made for internet distribution. Since then is has been downloaded over five million times, shown on several tv channels and was picked up for DVD distribution by Universal Pictures - making it the most widely viewed Finnish film ever!. And of course it's still free to download from our website.
Having learned making movies the hard way we just didn't want to stop. We spend months trying to figure out what to do next. And then it hit us. Now we're making Iron Sky, a film about Nazis on the dark side of the Moon.
We're determined to out-do ourselves and we are currently looking for a talented crew with real passion. The movie will be co-produced by Petri Jokiranta (IMDb) and Tero Kaukomaa (IMDb), the producers of Jade Warrior and several other films. It will be written by Johanna Sinisalo, a James Tiptree Jr. and Finlandia award winning author, best known for Not Before Sundown.

Thanks for excepting me. I truly enjoyed what I saw on the site and the teasers. I thought it ws a mix of retro chic, art-deco, an alternative romantized version of space travel and exploration with a hint of the occult. This film is refreshing, original and different, but more importantly, it is daring! almost "forbidden"....I say bring it on! Its a nice change from the "hollycrap" that gets churned out by the ton nowadays!
