Irr kom blodig og skrikende til verden i 2004, født av fire muskalske ildsjeler. De herjet i Molde og omegn med sine brutale og energiske sceneopptredener, og vakte stor forakt, skrekk og gru. To har overlevd, og med ny gitarist kriger de videre! Irr holder nå til i gruvene under Ila i Trondheim, blodige gruveklær, spett og slegge, de planlegger et grufullt komplott. Mørkere og mer brutale enn noen gang, er Irr igjen på ferde!
Irr was formed in 2004, consisting of four founding members with substantial experience from other local band projects in the Norwegian town of Molde. The outset was a shared desire to create an angry and brutal expression, through which different musical backgrounds would lead to the heavy and complex sound the band represents today.
In 2006 what is to be their debut album was recorded at Trøndertun Studio and Trondheim Lydstudio. Irr is currently searching for the right record company, to get their hard hitting music out to the masses.
Irr will be hard at work in Trondheim this year, as there is much to be desired in the form of more gigs and and a record contract with a subsequent release of the finished first album.
They are also looking further into the future by working on new material, which is yet unrecorded but marks a significant development of the Irr sound.
This is probably Christopher Lee's last album: he will be 88 soon - although with his energy, he might well reach 100!! :)
