    "I always wanted to be the little girl that made rap records." announces Isabella Summers and yet elfin like Isa doesn't look like your average hip-hop producer. Nor does she look like the kind of girl who directs horror films, lived in a cupboard, bought her first MPC off the back of a lorry in Elephant & Castle or co-wrote some of the biggest tracks of 2009. But she's done all of those things and this is just the beginning... ..It all started when her father decided to become a fisherman. The Summers family packed up their Rolling Stones, Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan records and moved from Hackney to Suffolk. While enjoying her newfound freedom on bike rides along the coast, Isabella fell in with her fellow fishermen offspring. Dale was an eighth generation fisherman, and far more worldly than his Aldeburgh postcode. Isabella's childhood soundtrack had revolved around her Madonna collection up until the fateful day she got her first mix-tape from Dale. Snoop Dogg's Doggy Style on one side and Grave Diggaz on the flip. ..Back in London years later…entirely self-taught, Isabella was making movies, making music, and making a name for herself. But just as she started convincing her rude boy neighbours to rap over the rock & roll tracks she'd written, she started doing re-mixes for some of the indie bands that were hanging around the studios and hanging around was amongst others a girl called Florence... ..Fast forward a year or two, and Isabella "Machine" Summers has six additional production credits and five co-write credits on the critically-acclaimed, Brit-award winning, multi-platinum, Number One album "Lungs." ..But Isabella is not just the Machine. When she's not on tour playing keys with ...Florence + The Machine... she's in the studio producing and writing tracks for an array of talented young artists. Everything from future disco pop hits to nine-minute psychedelic odysseys for an artist named Lucy, who Isabella is determined to shape into the next Jim Morrison. .. ..Her next release is an EP with south London misfit Ivan Ink and Pen. ..Ivan Ink 'n' Isa.... will be released on BRINK Records imminently. ..It's 2010, she's taken over a second studio in Crystal Palace and the cupboard empire continues...
