"This eleven track album features unconventional pop music that is eclectic and often strangely hypnotic. Even though the instrumentation and arrangements are decidedly offbeat, the overall flow of this album is strangely pleasant and appealing. This could be due to Isol's incredibly smooth and absorbing vocals. Both siblings took part in writing the music. It should be noted that, even though she has been involved in various other projects, this is the first time Isol has been involved in actually writing music. Some of these compositions bear a slight, strange resemblance to some of the more experimental music created by Lol Creme and Kevin Godley. It would be difficult to compare Sima to other twenty-first century albums because it is just...very...different. Zypce's instrumental style is sharper, made of splinters, pianos played one key at a time, strokes from a chamber cello, a sampled Irish bagpipe in "Romance Fatal", electronic blits in "La Culpa", a windchime, a pranged string, blunted taps of wood, a splatter of crackle as rain falls on a hard surface. Together these complementary opposites make an album that is delicate and surprising. Isol y Zypce presentan SIMA, su nuevo proyecto en conjunto.---
Isol, cantante, compositora, ex vocalista de la banda de pop electrónico Entre Ríos, cantante lírica del grupo de música barroca The Excuse y miembro de la banda de synthpop estadounidense Alsace Lorraine, y reconocida ilustradora de libros y prensa. En este disco por primera vez compone las melodías de las canciones y escribe las letras.---
-----Zypce, músico, compositor. Editó un disco en 1994 ("Nuevo Muerto") donde ejecuta con un ensamble obras propias de clásica contemporánea cruzada con reminiscencias industriales, aunque estas categorías son poco claras. En 1997 creó el grupo de tango "34 puñaladas", en el que se desempeñó como cantor y recopilador del repertorio, hasta febrero de 1999.
Ha realizado composiciones originales para obras de teatro y danza en Argentina y el exterior; ha realizado y realiza conciertos de su música experimental con Adriana de los Santos. Construye sus propios instrumentos. En este disco compone y arregla con su particular estética acercándose al formato de canción, intentando experimentar algún tipo de desplazamiento de la escucha que propone el pop.---
Isol y Zypce son hermanos, nacieron y viven en Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Isol and Zypce present SIMA, their latest joint collaboration.
Isol: singer, composer, ex vocalist of the electronic pop band Entre Ríos, lyric singer of the baroque group The Excuse, and member of the synthpop American band Alsace Lorraine. She’s also an internationally renowned illustrator of books and printed media. For the first time, she composes the melodies in the songs and writes their lyrics in this new CD.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Zypce: musician, composer. In 1994 he released his CD “Nuevo muerto” (“New dead”) in which he and his ensemble play his own works of contemporary classical music tainted with industrial reminiscences, although these categories are in fact very dubious labels. He has also composed music for the film, dance and theatre in Argentina and abroad, and has made performatic concerts of his experimental compositions with pianist Adriana de los Santos, among others. He builds his own musical instrument and has an extremely elaborate approach to the stage factor. In this CD, he composes and arranges the songs by being clearly faithful to his peculiar aesthetics though approaching a pop song format, always with very experimental results.
