"Sunfish are firm favourites of the Future Sound of Exeter, when it comes to high quality trance they always deliver. Their new 4-piece line-up means the band is as strong as it's ever been and they played a fantastic set when supporting Eat Static and System 7 at Exeter Phoenix in April" 2008
Paul Giblin AKA DJ Ambiessence,
Co-ordinator, Future Sound of Exeter
"Sunfish take to the stage with a small crowd watching them and Jon Kerry on synths with Sacha Holloway on guitar start to create infectious dance rhythms and the crowd start to get moving. Accompanied by looped visuals and the occasional vocal the music really works well and more and more of the crowd get into the groove. The pair are then joined by Ali Luia and Tor Rubble to add vocal depth to the music. 'Goa' is the track of the night and personally they create the best dance groove of the night, it's a constant building of rhythms and vocal which goes down a storm." Waveform 2007 wow!
"Sunfish opened the party celebrating their tenth anniversary in style. Guitar and vocal layered trance with samples it was a splendid wake up call, they were clearly enjoying the gig and so were we as they slowly teased the crowd up and dancing." (Scottie, E Festivals)
"If you want to get a crowd on their feet with some great live dance music, get Sunfish to come and play at your event. Great festival music "

Sunrise festival at sunrise! 2007, Cats Cradle Stage
"Your set at Sunrise was truly inspiring what a way to witness the sun rising. So so good. Bring on next year. Love you guys, Cat's Cradle x"
"Sunfish were the perfect way to experiance a unique and beautifully inspiring Sunrise 2007. As the party people united to Sunfish's euphoric anthems the first rays of the new day filled Cat's Cradle geodome. A magnificent sunrise on so many different levels. Sunfish left us breathless. A repeat preformance is definately on the cards, bring on 2008" (Alice / Cats Cradle)
"Sunfish performed a truly wicked set at the Cat's Cradle stage at Sunrise Celebration in the small hours of Saturday night. They managed to bring in the crowds from all around, with people jumping to their tunes from the very start until the end of their hour-long set. Their mixture of trance, funky beats and Ali's vocals kept the crowds energised throughout. We were really lucky to get them and can't wait for the next opportunity to host a Sunfish gig. They are the the ideal band to keep the party-goers up on their feet throughout the night." (Paul / Cats Cradle)
In the summer of 1997 Jon Kerry formed Sunfish as a live Techno/Psychedelic Trance outfit using synths, computers and projected visuals. ‘Jabber’ the first CD was released in December of that year and became an underground classic.
The band expanded to include Sacha Holloway, a storming female guitarist.. As a live act, Sunfish became big on the dance scene with their combination of live Psy Trance and interactive visuals. Sunfish continued to release more CDs and played clubs and festivals across the country, Sunfish became favourites of the Future Sound of Exeter organisation releasing their acclaimed ‘Kinetik” CD on Future Sound of Exeter’s SAS label (now available on itunes).
Sunfish went one step further and introduced Ali Luia, a superb live vocalist. Ali brings an exciting dynamic to tight new songs with solid grooves that are guaranteed to keep an audience dancing. With Tor Rubble also providing vocals and an energy not to be missed!!, 2007 saw Sunfish re-launched as a live act, and with their new format they played across the south west festival circuit , finishing the season with the celebration of ten years of Sunfish, playing the main stage at The Waveform Project Festival. Through out 2007 they received outstanding reviews.
Sunfish have played great sets supporting great artists like System 7, Transglobal Underground, Ozric Tentacles, Eat Static, Orbital, Jah Wobble and Banco de Gaia’ .Sunfish have also played at various festivals including Glastonbury, Air Fusion, Beautiful Days, Sunrise Celebration, Ode, Fordstock, Waveform Project, Big Green Gathering.
