Eliminator is a five piece heavy metal band based in Lancaster. Taking influence from the great heavy metal bands of past, their forerunners and a plethora of long forgotten bands that are now unjustly resigned to obscurity, we aim to play a traditional and direct style of heavy metal that unashamedly looks to the past for inspiration and rejects the dubious trends rife in today's metal scene. We focus on playing the style of music that we enjoy listening to for the sheer pleasure of writing, recording and performing live. The fact that qualities such as strong song writing and showmanship are often overlooked in the music of today, particularly within the mainstream heavy metal of our time, is something that we find incredibly perplexing and as such we intend to set the record straight by playing music that we consider heavy metal to be. Heavy metal and hard rock acts of late 70's and 80's. Rainbow, Maiden, Priest, Lizzy, Mercyful Fate, Heavy Load, plus many long forgotten NWOBHM and early European HM bands.
