Ivana Parnasso is a young artist born in Marsala (Sicily-Italy), devoted to art sculptor and painter grew up in a family where there is much of music and art, in his childhood thanks to the father (drummer) grows in a world of notes and harmonies, sounds that will influence in his artistic career. Percussionist and composer is also equipped with a fine voice, begins its first steps in music at the age of 18, playing the drums and percussion in various groups and musical genres, subsequently she contaminates with genres such as BossaNova & Funky. As composer his music have an elegant approach to a mix of genres correlated with each other, the musical influences found in his compositions have a taste of BossaNova, Funk, Soul Jazz, Drum 'n' Bass and Trip Hop, a research for a sonority Lounge/Chillout with a style of great taste with seventies reminiscences. Her debut in the world of music is the album "Pick!" (2010, Sobra) his first album have had great positive feedback throughout Europe bringing to public attention the music of the young and talented Italian artist. Her first song "Never Worry" (original version) be included on the compilation "Tropicalismo Vol.1" (Sobra) and the alternative acoustic version on the compilation "Tropicalismo Vol.2" Her great 2nd new album "Spirograph" (2012, Irma)is a special mixture of Bossa Nova, Funk and Jazz all electronically mixed by an artist/composer that has much talented to create the right elegant atmosphere of the Lounge Music. ...... .. ........ .. .. .. .. .. .. .................................. .. .. ........ -

(Sobra/IT) Re:Lounge, a new era of lounge music is beggining as ''Pick'' is doing an introduction in one of the most famous kinds of music worldwide since late 50's to the new decade that just we are welcoming. Ivana Parnasso and her debut album is making sense with it since she uploaded a preview of it in myspace.com community. A new child borned into a music & artistic family is landed in music field of modren lounge culture as one of the most promicing artists of that era. We meet her with ''Never Worry'' few months earlier on Sobra Music exiting compilation '' Tropicalismo Vol 1'' among Steve Paradise, Melchyor A, Spiritual Blessings and more. Her lounge is a mysterious and sexy bossa nova, funky and carpet that travel throw her mind and red wine influenced lips, hands, heart, soul and mind. ''Bossa 24'' explores an ancient ceremony of tango, bossa and drumming flight from italy to Buenos Aires via Rio De Janeiro. She borrowed her voice for her life in earth from a beautiful angel from the our after life paradise, ''AEIOU'' bossa nova is the proof for this. ''Breath'' is one of my personal highlights from her ''Pick'', sensual, deep & sexy with imaginery percussion, a perfect soundtrack to make love… Tropicalismo's ''Never Worry'' appears here with the original and one acoustic version - i'm sure few nice mixes will follow in the future – a track that mix so harmonic the bossa nova and light steps of drum'n'bass like Dr Vodkatini from Prominence and Athens did with their ''Waiting For The Sun''. Another highlight is her collaboration with Tony Marino, another one italian finest male voice… some crystal glasses are dancing between horns and future bossa club sound. Parisian ''Take Kiss'' with its broken sence of drumbeatz and the heavy bassline offers an unsolved & mysterious sence of searching for the right thing/kiss. Did you miss St.etienne? In ''Love'' her voice will remind their 90's elegant pop diamonds. ''Ephemeral'' is the most dirty track of the album, world sounds mixed with flutes and piano strings. Closing and same titled track ''Pick'' is an epic lasting downtempo, better chilled touch of bossa nightscape always with Ivana magic voice.
