    I'm the lead singer and songwriter in the indie rock band IKE. I teach songwriting at Drexel University, and I'm a vocal and band instructor at Bluebond Music School in Philadelphia. Once in a blue moon, I'll get asked to sing on a wacky jingle. These things and parenthood take up most of my time. But I love meeting new people and checking out a few rock shows a week. Don't talk to me about sports, although IKE's song "Into Philadelphia" gets a lot of play at Philly pro sporting events like the Phillies, Flyers, and Eagles..

Hakkımda:

Just your average Irish-Korean rock musician... My first band, The Caulfields, was on a major label; we had a pretty decent radio hit ("Devil's Diary" aka "bigger than Jesus now"), and toured the US, Canada, Australia. I've been with my band IKE for several years now and we've been lucky enough to do a lot of things that major label bands get to do. I love to meet music fans, other musicians, and random individualists. I never judge a book by its cover, which is why a lot of my friends are people you might not expect me to be friends with. I'm very lucky to have met, and even share stages with some of my heroes. Watching the Ramones from the side of the stage and playing on the same bill in Milwaukee in 1995 remains one of the highlights of my life. On the other side of the musical spectrum, I strangley have opened for America 3 times and sung "Horse With No Name" on stage with them twice. That's just a couple of my stories.. buy me a Shirley Temple sometime and I'll go on all night :)
