In 2002 Jackamo Brown came down from the mountain on which he had been living for no small amount of time in isolation. The years preceding his decent were given to the study of Philosophy, writing and the occasional plucking of a battered old guitar. Late in 2003 I met him in a pub in West Wales and heard him play a couple of his songs - after hours and for his own amusement. I tried to convince him that night to let me record some of his music but it wasn't until another year or so had passed that the rough tracks above (and the other 4 that comprise his Bare Bones demo) were recorded. This page was set up on Jackamo's behalf (and intially without his knowledge) but the elusive Mr. Brown has gradually been convinced of the site's merits and is now regularly checking the page and using it to seek out inspired music and interesting people.
Massive thanks to Ragweasle for doing what he has done with the recordings and augmenting Lay Low!

Thank you! The weather has actually been quite nice. Temperatures have been higher than usual... we actually had 103; rather strange weather for Washington. I must admit 70-80 is pleasant however anything higher than 99 is simply torturous.
Anything new and interesting on your end? Anything worth mentioning... and preferably something you will not have to kill me afterward for mentioning.
I wish you all the best darling. Do take care of your handsome self.

Dear friends, I am playing a free gig at the beauteous Union Chapel, Islington this Saturday. The sunlight will be streaming through its vaulted windows as Blank Canvas and Arctic Circle present this gig during the blessed daylight hours of 12-2. And yea shall its hallowed interior be filled with all manner of scraping, wailing and gnashing of teeth. Let us pray. And then let us go to the pub.
Hi Jackamo Thanks for your lovely comment. I'm glad you enjoyed our brief performance in Leigh. Computer is playing up so I can't listen to yours at the moment but I will come back for a listen later. R x
