Well where to start... I was born and raised in Sandpoint, Idaho. It is one of the most beautiful places on earth. It was a great place to grow up and I am proud to call it my home town. I have wrestled since I was 6 years old and I am so thankful that wrestling took me to Oklahoma State University. I graduated in 2006 with my degree in Education. I won the NCAA wrestling tournament in 2003, 2005, and 2006 and I was also part of a team that won 4 straight NCAA team championships. It was an amazing experience. Wrestling has been great to me throughout my life and it has been a major influence in bringing me to where I am today. About six months ago my life took a little different road. I was fortunate to meet some great new people who helped me to fall in love with MMA. I am now a full time student of the sport. I am just trying to learn and progress in it the best I can. I have some really great people behind me, my managers at TEAM TAKEDOWN, my family and all of my friends.
TEAM TAKEDOWN has given me the opportunity to fully devote my time to training MMA. Without them I would not be where I am right now. I am so thankful for all of the opportunities in front of me.
I will continue my training and quest to be the best at everything I do. I thank everyone who has helped me out there along the way. I truly appreciate all of your support.
I love small towns.
I have "0" artistic ability.
I wish I could remember things from school like I can remember the words from songs. I probably would be a doctor if that was the case.
I like driving on dirt roads.
Hunting would be the hardest thing for me to quit.
Coyotes and deer intrigue me.
My baby is a 55 lb. black lab named Daisy. And yes, that is after Daisy Duke.
I call Stillwater, Oklahoma home these days even though I don't live there anymore.
I've spent somewhere around 80% of my life wrestling.
I love scoring, goals that is, like in Soccer.
The only professional sports team I give a shit about is the Dallas Cowobys.
I love and respect all the women in my life. They are amazing!
My family is super competitive.
I would rather be backroading with good friends than out at a club.
My friends and I might not be perfect but we all know and believe in who we are, & thats all that matters.
I love shooting guns.
Black cows in a green pasture are a pretty sight to me.
I only like fishing if we are catching fish.
I drive too fast, and I like it.
I don't like people who talk behind others backs.
I try my best not to lie or be a hypocrite.
Sometimes I think Daisy is 1/2 human. She is just so damn smart.
There is nothing like riding a good horse through pretty country!
I have always wished I was a "real cowboy."
It would have been awesome to live back when the west was wild.
I try and be smart with money, but am not so sure I am good at it.
I wanna be the best at everything I do.
I absolutly hate to loose. Doesn't matter what it is, I hate it!
I'm pretty quiet 'till I get to know you.
I love being at the lake.
I would rather it snow than rain.
I tried really hard when I moved to Oklahoma to not pick up saying ya'll and fixin' but I don't think it worked.
Being a professional hunter would be the best job in the world. (So I think anyway.)
I always feel like I could have done better, mostly pertaining to sports.
I have found a new passion in life, MMA.
I want a Harley soooooooo bad.
After I am done fighting I want to be a steer wrestler.
I thank the Lord all the time for what an amazing life he has given me.
I know I am not perfect. Don't really wanna be.
I absolutly love the adrenaline of fighting. There is nothing like it.
It doesn't take much to talk me into just about anything.

The worst thing to have to wear is a tie.

I hope you are interested in following my career as a professional fighter... from my initial workout in Randy's gym, stepping into my first cage, and eventually my ultimate goal as a UFC World Champion.
I am confident I have the entire package of what it takes to make My dreams... My future.

I just got in from the first part of my birthday celebration here on the 11th and was checking some emails. Noticed you just had a birthday as well, so figured I'd drop a "happy belated". (Nice win recently too, by the way - I was stoked for ya)
Happy Birthday Jake! Way To Kick The Sh*t Out of That Guy The Other Night. We had a BUNCH people over here watching that on the big screen (in Stilly) and we where ALL on our feet screaming when you sunk in the darst! Awesome! Congrats!!
