I have so many influences ranging from roots music to death metal that I could easily make an encyclopedia set out of this but without getting into the tens of thousands here are some of the ones that you might be able to catch a glimpse of in my songs.........Johnny Cash, The Beatles, Porter Wagoner, Chet Atkins, Eddie Cochran, Hank Williams, Carl Perkins, Chuck Berry, AC/DC, Motorhead, Les Paul, Buddy Holly, Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, Roy Orbison, Ritchie Valens, Jimmy Rodgers, Dave Duddley, Jim Ed Brown, Merle Travis, Elvis-Scotty-Bill & DJ, The Misfits, Danzig, Samhain, Ramones, Beach Boys, The Carter Family, Gene Vincent, The Swinos, The Hatchet Wounds, Season of Nightmares, Country Music, Rockabilly, Rock n' Roll, New Wave, Pop & any kind of music that has heart and honesty to it. I'm an old-school metal head and punk as well. I really do dig something from every musical genre I can think of except for the "New" genres- "New-Country, metal, hip-hop, punk, etc." For some reason most newer stuff I hear these days just doesn't grab me. My friends and family & all of the people I have played music with in the past and or play with currently are huge influences too!

AROUND TOWN featuring James Hunnicutt from INTERVIEW on Vimeo.
Howdy! My name is James Hunnicutt and here’s a little bit about me. I’m a singer/songwriter/musician/producer who lives in Washington State, USA & likes to tour as much as possible. I'm a proud parent, a dreamer, a dried out drunk who partied enough for 2-3 lifetimes in his day, an overgrown kid & highly dysfunctional to the art of “normal” living. Oh yeah, I have a sweet little cat named Patsy Cline and I have a huge heart to help make up for my lack of maturity and other potentially negative traits.
I just released my debut CD in June 2009 entitled-"ALL BY MY LONESOME" You can hear tracks from the album on this page & purchase the album here as well. I primarily perform as a solo artist but have been fortunate to play with some great musicians over the years. This has resulted in me being in some 30+ bands since my 1st in 1987. Below are links to some of the artists/bands that I've performed with over the years-
I hope you're enjoying the music on my page and will in turn feel inspired to check out the other myspace pages and websites I have featured here (Be Sure to add 'em as friends too! ;-) Speaking of friends, I am truly spoiled in the fact that I have many wonderful people involved in my life & have an army of friends that can't be beat. I believe that we can never have too many friends though so please hit me up if you feel so inclined. I run this page by myself & do my best to respond to EVERY email/comment that I receive which isn't an advertisement or something of the like. Thanks for checking out my music & taking the time to read this.
Take care, James
That's awesome!! I am really happy for you Mr. Hunnicutt!! Things have been going really well for me. I can't wait to hear some of your touring stories. Stay outta trouble fella. Or at least try ;)
Thats good. I'm glad to hear things are going well. I hope things continue to go smooth. (; These days i'm not doing too great. I'm dying; O; [[not literally]] I'm overly sick, With the Pig Flu. It's terrible.
