A middle-aged guy who is happy to have gotten his musical instruments out of their cases
Whiskey and Stitches are starting to play out and have reconnected with one of our favorite gig spots in San Francisco - Ireland's 32. Look for us around Sacramento's Second Saturday events. I've also been sitting in on mandolin with a group called "Stout Rebellion," so the music is alive and well. I relocated to Sacramento, California for job reasons at the end of August 08 and quickly found myself connected to BlackEyed Dempseys, which continues on without me, Mike the singer, and Pete the bassist, but with a new singer, bass player, and accordion man. Besides playing solo, I am happy to say I can still sometimes play mandolin and tin whistle in Corvallis Celtic Folk Punk band Poitin and Stout. Thanks to the original core: Dustin, Corey, Mike, Josh, and Dan in addition to the great additions: Charlie, Ezra, and Kevin. I'm from Southern California originally, but I have enjoyed living in Oregon where more people appreciate folk, Celtic, and instrumentals. Many moons ago, I played in a classical guitar ensemble, but I'm now playing mostly Celtic and original tunes on guitar, bouzouki, mandolin, flute, and pennywhistle. Thanks to the great music community of Corvallis, Oregon for promoting folk, Americana, Celtic, Blues, and original instrumentals. My wife and I miss it. Check out the CD Baby site at http://cdbaby.com/jamesbrianwilson for a taste of the tunes. Thanks for checking out my site!
Thank you so much for the add! Your support means so much to us! And remember: If you like what you hear, send us your e-mail address! We will send you "New Beginnings" and "Tek No" for free! :) Have a great day!

James. Totally enjoyed your set last night. You're a fun and talented bunch. It would be great to see Stout and Whiskey on a bill! May our paths meet again, in the meantime, jig responsibly. Ed, 3FJ
