Featured on CBC Canada Live and the co-winner of the
Arts Wells Songwriting Competition, James Lamb comes from a large
family of folk musicians in the Kootenay Mountains of British
Columbia. While his songwriting reflects his traditional roots, his
unconventional compositions and lyrics explore the most contemporary
issues in our Canadian culture.
"James tells stories with his music, but his stories come
from a land of waves like mountains, and mountains large like the sky,
and they are sometimes hard edged and slightly sadly weighted and
other times they are hopeful and inspiring. Like rock run through with
veins of loss and love, and layers and layers of soul." Risa Dickens,
Indyish Magazine, Montreal.
"A Symphonic experience, the songwriting is peerless and completely catchy and I have been raving about these guys since I saw them play. Let’s hope word of mouth catches on!" K.C Left Hip Magazine, Halifax

Hey, good to hear from you! Victoria seems a little confused about this whole concept of "spring"... Last week, I saw cherry blossoms, and this week it snowed... We're good friends with Amy and Casey of Opera Club fame... and that's how we heard of you!
School's wonderful..I'm really being pushed by my teachers to see what I can bring to the table as an artist, which is refreshing. Still writing music as well but that'll have to remain a side project for a while. I'll see you in Kensington!
