Tom Bristow, born in York, 1985, is a trance producer with a major passion for music. Tom first started producing music at the age of 16, when he played around with a program called ‘Hip-Hop E-jay’ and found that it was very limited as you could not make your own riffs and sounds. At this time Dr Dre, Ice Cube, Xzibit and early Hip-Hop artists influenced him. In 2002, Tom met a trance producer, who told him that trance was the way forward and since then Tom has been producing trance. He now uses programs like Fruity Loops, Reason, Ableton Live and Cubase SX. He is currently building up his solo repertoire for several albums, which he plans to send off to record companies and magazines such as Computer Music and Future music for reviews. Tom attends a music college called ‘The Jam Factory’, which is run by Access To Music. At the Jam factory Tom has recorded bands using various programs and undertaken many tasks involving setting up drum kits and guitars with microphones. Also setting up talk back systems, sound checking, mixing & mastering, sound engineering, radio programming and music business/marketin

The future holds a lot for Joel. Once qualified he will have the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to offer the widest range of music related technical assistance, productive input, creative spark and highly efficient recording process ability.

Paul Walker first started djing at the age of 14 by using two tape recorders to make his own hilarious radio show(one to play the music and one to record the talking and the music, stupid!).After one inspired mix of Men at Work "Land down under" into "Opposites Attract" by Paula Abdul and the cartoon cat he had a Zen like experience and decided that gettin’ paid for playing others music was far easier than learning to play your self.
Paul is currently residing in Leeds with his dog ‘Sparky’, and has been teaching Dj Skills and Contextual Studies for four years at Access to Music in York and enjoys long romantic walks on the beach, horror films and cross stitching.
Alex is a robot that lives on the sun, he likes the heat and says it helps him consetrate on his music. His neighbours use to complain but now the heat from the sun has burnt them down to just ash. Alex wants to grow up to be a world class producer, or a fish farmer, at this time he hasn't decided.
The band was born from the ashes of previous bands and after a few different line-ups we are finally sorted .The present line up of the band has been together for just less than a year and we gig regularly around York. Get yourselves down to a gig and see what you think!
Though Mass Movement have been together for just over 3 years in various line-ups and names this is the first line up that we are unveiling to the public.
Mass Movement have always had the same main aims
1) to make people dance
2) to make people more aware of things that are going on in the world/socio-political issues (without being patronising) and hopefully this will show who really has the power.
Mass Movement has recently expanded to include visuals and other art forms. They use a multi-media art to attack the problems to combat the media and the establishments lies and veiled truths!
This includes are VJ Kamikaze Theory (unfortuntly only part time as he's @ Sheffield Uni) and the man behind all Mass Movement graphics, animation and art work Darth Tater!

It seems like years since the last Moorfest happened and to be honest I think the weather was very much a factor in whether people enjoyed themselves or not. Some thrived in the mud whilst others wept until their dads could pick them up. Moorfest is still carving an identity for itself and in the three years that it has been established I think I can say that the one thing that most people love about it is the friendly atmosphere, and this gig is a good opportunity to meet up with friends that perhaps you haven't seen since the festival, to make new friends, enjoy quality music, get a flavour of Moorfest if you haven't already been and also to talk to the organisers in order to give your opinions on how to improve the festival. We'll also be projecting your favourite photos that you've taken from previous Moorfests to create a live mashup that will adorn the walls of the Brudenell so please send them to bandsformoorfest@yahoo.co.uk and make sure that everyone in the picture is cool for you to use them like this.
There'll be much more to boot like gorgeous organic food, t-shirt stall, films and raffles to win tickets to Moorfest 4 which we're working on right now and aim to make it the best yet.
We really appreciate your continued support in making Moorfest what it is and hope to see you all there.
