Music and singing found Janet before she even started school. A Distinction holder in Trinity College London's Performer's Certificate, Janet was introduced to the grand world of Broadway music in her school days and she has never looked back since. Classically trained under baritone Cha Seng Tiang since year 2000, this songbird is on her way to carving a name for herself in the local performing arts scene. With an on stage presence that emanates passion and a vocal prowess which displays a gutsy versatility in any genre, Janet is the ideal vocalist for any occasion.
Janet has since then sang in operas, musicals, concerts, championships, private launches, dinners, weddings, fundraising dinners, anniversaries; cosy jazz lounges, concert halls, grand ballrooms, philharmonic hall, sophisticated theatres and anywhere people find her voice fills warmly. Her singing has graced numerous occasions like the birthday of His Royal Highness Sultan of Selangor, Independenca Day ceremony of United States, arts awards, launches of international brands like Shanghai Tang, Vacheron Constantine, Mrie France, SKOL Beer, Royal Salute 100 Casks and many more.
Making a name for herself as the jovial bilingual wedding singer for those who like to add a touch of classiness on their big day, Janet shares her happiness in singing with her dinner audience from all ages; from the elderly relatives who sway along with her renditions of Teresa Teng classics to the generation X who bops to the upbeat popular Michael Buble hits.
Janet juggles between private performances and main stage theatre productions, she has worked with theatre companies like Lyrics Opera Malaysia, Dama Orchestra, Penang Arts Council and Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre. Her repertoire include jazz standards, Western classical, operettas and oldies. She sings in English, Mandarin, Italian, French, German and Spanish.
