As we are currently recording the new album I bring you some news about the band's future. After considering about the new direction I have made my decision to retire Jann Wilde & The Neon Comets and continue working with the fellas under a new moniker. The Velvet Beat.
The main reason for this re-naming is my personal wish to drop the name Jann Wilde from the band's name to give us more freedom to perform and release our music more democratically. I will use the name Jann Wilde for my more personal projects as well as my upcoming book and whenever I perform as myself.
Personally I think one album with Jann Wilde & Rose Avenue and one album with Jann Wilde & The Neon Comets is just fine. Now it's time to head to venues with something new and interesting. The line-up will remain the same except bassist Atheos who has played with us since July is now a permanent member of the group.
For those who worry about musical direction and changes in set list I'm happy to tell you that nothing can stop us playing the old songs as long as they are written and sung by Mr.Wilde ;)
Thanks for accepting our friendship it's truely an honor for us to have you as our new friend. We selected you because we'd like to ask you to join us on our Unsigned and Indie Bands Radio.
