It's funny, we didn't have much music playing in the house when we were young. My parents weren't into music much, and there was no radio. I love your work :)
Hello,How do you do?
<object classid="clsid:D
Hi Nik Thank you for writing! I look at the pictures of David and Mick together in the early days of Japan and they look like such great friends. I'm really sorry to see so much bad blood and just wish that they could make peace of some kind. Re Sylvian's Japan Ghosts.. I was so surprised when the missing Japan track 'some kind of fool' turned up on 'everything and nothing'. It was the last thing in the world I had expected him to do at that time after spending so long distancing himself from Japan. It was a beautiful surprise though...! ... and playing 'the other side of life' on the Everything and Nothing tour was also an unexpected treat.. All the best Les
Hi Nik
It's really nice to hear from you.
Much as there would be a lot of people made very happy by the idea, I read in a couple of of places that Midge said he had not actually implied that Japan would reform for the benefit - I think it was a press assumption. I'd actually be very surprised if David was prepared to play as Japan - but this is such a serious life issue that it may override all his other considerations. I don't think there would necessarily be more money made for Mick than if David played as himself. I remember Mick once saying he'd like to play those songs live with them again though. Whether he'd be well enough with the chemotherapy is a second question.
Thanks for talking!!!!
All the best for your weekend
Les
Hi Nik!

Sorry for the extended absence, there ...I hope that this finds you in good health and good spirits
I'm finding it very difficult to go for more than a few hours without thinking of Mick's health at the moment, as I am sure must be the case for so many other Japan fans. I have a fretless bass that I pick up every day just for pleasure and, needless to say, I own one because of him and so that always involves at fair amount of thinking about Mick over and above the kind of things I play.
The bad blood between Mick and David in the MK book made me quite sad to read and I really hope that, despite all that, they can manage to find some kind of reconciliation now.
All the best to you, Nik ... Have a perfect week
Les
