After 17 years of releasing albums and singles as a solo artist, and performing with Nelly Furtado for over 10 years, jasmine kicked off 2009 performing with “The All American Rejects” on the British Chart show promoting their hit single “Gives You Hell”. This would be the start of yet another successful year....................
As a Warner/Chappell songwriter jasmine has had the opportunity to write with some of the best songwriters in the world and she’s one of the rare topline writers who is capable of writing songs that span from the quirkiest of pop gems, to songs that are born from a deep and emotional place. She delivers top drawer songs to suit any project and can tailor make anything from pop to rock, rnb and urban to mainstream ballads, and even pop country music, children’s themes, and mainstream advertising jingles....................
So far this year jasmine has collaborated, featured and worked on projects with Grammy Award composer David Arnold, pop fashionistas Fritz Helder and the Phantoms (Nelstar/Universal), Ivor Novello winner Dan Sells of “The Feeling” (EMI Publishing), Girls Can’t Catch (Polydor/Universal), disco diva & Rimmel model Sophie Ellis-Bextor (Fascination/Universal), American pop act The Stunners (Columbia), The Yeah You’s (Island/Universal), Chelsea Lee (Atlantic), The Slips (Lucky Egg), The Scarlettes (Overloade), Sinead Quinn, Laura and the Tears, Marla, Dollface, and reggae artist General Santana… and that is only in the last couple of months!...........................
One of jasmine’s most exciting projects this year is the CBBC television show “JINX”. Her title song co-written with Warner/Chappell writer Darren Martyn was chosen from many for the new series and has been licensed to several countries around the world. “JINX” is due to hit the airwaves in October 2009.........................
With incredible timing, “JINX” has coincided with a project that is very dear to jasmine’s heart – the launch of “Little Ducks Productions”. Inspired by her love of writing silly and educational children’s music, this co-venture with her husband Owen Denham is scheduled to release an exciting series of radio shows, podcasts, cartoons and sing-a-long albums for children in 2010..................................
